As a first generation bolivian american based in bostoN & NYC, yazi otherwise known as yaz began their photo career after changing paths from the traditional college route in 2016. Since then they have accomplished a us tour, was nominated for 8 boston music awards for "best photographer", was published in billie eilish's PHOTO BOOK, AND MORE.

They also run a company called "A great day in" that highlights the underground music scene in boston in multiple genres/communities including alt rap/r&b, hardcore, techno/house, Breaks, darkwave, folk, singer songwriter, Shoegaze, dreampop, punk rock, and the drag scene. Through this company they also throw events with an eclectic lineup of artists from all these various genres mentioned above that they have created friendships and community in over the past 8 years. their goal is to help unite the music scene in boston and help it evolve to another level.
